How to take care of embroidered clothes? We’ll show you!

Embroidery is a detailed and rigorous process carried out by teams specialised in the field. To prevent them from being spoilt or damaged, it is necessary to adopt some specific measures.

Hand Washing

  • This is the most recommended. Start by placing the garment in a basin of soapy water for 20 minutes. Lightly rub the areas where the garment is dirty (it is not recommended to rub the embroidery).
  • Rinse with clean water (don’t twist the piece as this could damage the embroidery). Leave to dry in the shade.

Machine Washing

  • Turn the garment inside out so that only the back of the embroidery is exposed during washing.
  • Put the clothes in a laundry bag and then wash as normal.
  • Do not use a tumble dryer. Let the clothes dry in the open air and in the shade.

  • Place a piece of fabric over the embroidered area before ironing. This will protect the embroidery and prevent it from undergoing any unwanted changes.

These tips will ensure the longevity of your embroidered items.
